Erickson Civil provided full civil engineering design services for this unique home located at 1991 Axtel Ct. in Boise, Idaho.  The project is located within the City of Boise hillside overlay district and required a hillside grading and drainage analysis as well as an erosion and sediment control plan to develop the site correctly.  The building footprint was prepared into the slope at the rear side of the home to realize additional rear yard apace.  Special attention to drainage was required because the home is located at the toe of a large steep slope.  The site development included a piped drainage system with surface inlets and tie-ins to all roof drain downspouts, and a foundation drain.  Further, the crawl space of the home was equipped with a sump that included an electric sump pump on the slope side of the structure to provide additional insurance against any water presenting itself within the structure crawl space.
