Downtown Boise - Hydrologic and Hydraulic Study
Boise, ID

Civil engineering services for this important Master Plan for Boise City, ACHD, and the Capital City Development Corporation included a detailed hydrologic and hydraulic analysis on major storm drains in the downtown Boise vicinity.  The project area was surveyed and investigated to determine specifics of the existing storm drain system including connections, pipe sizes, types, and elevations.  Models were developed to identify deficiencies and storm drain improvements were recommended.  Water quality was also a consideration - An analysis was prepared to review water quality pollutant levels under different development and treatment scenarios.  This analysis was important to assess viability of no net increase of TSS into the Boise River compared to a baseline year of 1996.
